South Texas Salsa Chili

  • 2 lbs.

    ground beef

  • 1/2

    onion, chopped

  • 1 tsp.

    ground black pepper

  • 2 1/2 cups

    tomato juice

  • 1 8 oz.

    jar salsa

  • 4 tbsp.

    Mexene Chili Powder

  • 1 15 oz.

    can light red kidney beans

  • 1 15 oz.

    can dark red kidney beans

  • Place the ground beef on a large saucepan with the onion and cook until browned.

  • Drain excess grease.

  • Add the ground black pepper, garlic salt, tomato sauce, salsa, Mexene Chili Powder and kidney beans.

  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least an hour.

  • Serve and enjoy!
